At our first ever Faith in Action Service Day, instead of our regular Sunday service, we were excited to share God's love with our neighbors. One group partnered with the City of La Verne and helped clean up and spread wood chips at Oak Mesa Park. Another group filled hygiene bags to support Hope Partners, while a third group constructed new-sew blankets for the NICU at Pomona Valley Hospital.
The theme of this year's retreat was "Come to the Garden." Our speaker, Alisa Anderson, engagingly shared the truths of God's word, how he loves us, and how he is good. We each left comforted, equipped, or challenged in how we are to live for Him. We all enjoyed the rich teaching, wonderful worship, delightful fellowship, meaningful reflection time, a mission project, and lots of yummy food! We are already looking forward to next year!
